everyone, after the earthquake occurred in Palu, Donggala, Indonesia with 7.4-magnitude
on September 28th, 2018 a month ago, now Greece is also suffering the same
sadness. A powerful 6.8-magnitude earthquake occurred in Greece on October 26th (7 days ago),
2018, at 01:54 on Friday (22:54 GMT).

from Channel News Asia, on Friday (10/26), the Greek Geodynamic Institute reported
that the earthquake was 6.4-magnitude and centered at 50 Km in the south-west of
Zakynthos. The shock of this super powerful earthquake was felt even to the
Greek capital, Athens, and had an impact in surrounding countries such as
Italy, Bosnia, Albania, Maltha, and Libya.
According
to the USGS (United States Geological Survey), at first, it was known that an
earthquake 7.0-magnitude would occur in Greece, but then this information was
revised according to reports from the European-Mediterranean Seismology Center
(EMSC) to 6.8-magnitude. The epicenter is in the Ionian Sea, located 130 km
south-west of Patras, Peloponnese Peninsula, precisely at 14 Km on the Ionian
Sea.

of the southern region of Greece is a meeting of two tectonic plates, this is
what caused earthquake in southern Greece. A report from USGS said that a
powerful shock occurred at 01:54 a.m. local time, followed by several other
aftershocks.
This heavy shock caused power outages and damage around the port of Zakynthos, not far from the epicenter. And up to now we have not yet known how many victims were affected by the earthquake and we have shared our condolences over the calamities experienced by Greece and other countrries that are currently in disaster.
