Competing in the Australian MotoGP, Valentino Rossi Admitted that His Speed wasn’t Special

Hello MotoGP lover, after read an article entitled "Will Marc Marquez be the World Champion if He Uses Another Motorbike?" earlier, this time I will discuss about the speed of Valentino Rossi  when competing in the Autralian MotoGP.

The 39 years old Movistar Yamaha motorbike racer appeared to be less than optimal when competing in the Australian MotoGP. Rossi seemed to waste time with the use of medium tires, although Rossi's position was fairly safe, but he wasn’t satisfied with the results of his speed.

"We have a little trouble, thankfully we can still penetrate the top 10. It looks like F3 will be rain. "My speed is not special, but Meverick (Vinales) is also not bad," Rossi said, Saturday, 27th October, 2018.

Rossi admitted that he was not optimal in using soft tires, on the other hand, the wheelspin problem still haunted him.

"It's a pity I’ve lost a lot of time with my medium back tire. "I thought it was a good choice, unfortunately there was no grip," he said.

In the end, the driver predicate the tuning fork chose to use soft tires which he thought weren’t good although he wasn’t comfortable with it. It must be admitted if Rossi had to work hard because he was too often twisted and not good with rear grip problems. The reason is, the Yamaha motorbike is known to be difficult to win this season. Moreover, another competitor, Suzuki.

Firmly, Rossi admitted that Suzuki was better than Yamaha, Yamaha's electronic engine parts had problems for more than one years.

"Control in the electronic parts of Suzuki engines is smoother, in this part they work more, and this is growing from last year," he said.

From Rossi's quote above, it’s clear that the GSX-RR is superior to YZR-M1. If so, Rossi’s possibility to win in the next MotoGP World Champion will be more difficult.
