How can a child making money and saving? This question made Jose think about how a child can making money without the aid of his parents? "Waste recycling" is the answer. Jose then proposed the idea of ​​making a children's bank to his teacher, but unfortunately, the teacher didn’t support him. According to his teacher, kind of projects can only be done by adults.

But it isn’t Jose, if he just give up. Jose's persistence paid off, finally the idea was approved and received full support from the principal and his class assistant. It isn’t easy to set-up a bank from an early age, Jose had to resist the insults and jokes from his classmates.

His hard work paid off. Bartselana Student Bank was successfully established in her hometown, Arquipa, in 2012. To become a member of Bartselana Student Bank, the method is very simple: a child only needs to submit 5 kg of recyclable waste (example: paper / plastic), then to maintain membership, a child must submit another recyclable waste at least 1 kg each month.
